Megan Kashner, LSCW, MBA, Ticked Off Social Worker, Founder & CEO of Benevolent is a seasoned nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of strategic management, community partnership building and organizational planning experience across the nonprofit sector. Kashner woke up in February of 2011 with the idea for Benevolent (www.benevolent.net) - a new platform that uses current technologies and donor proclivities to fill gaps in the safety net for low-income families. Kashner previously served as an executive director for the Taproot Foundation and held direct service and leadership positions in many social service agencies. Kashner and Benevolent have been featured at the White House, at national conferences on philanthropy and entrepreneurship, on CNN Headline News, in FastCompany, Mashable, MSNBC, the New Yorker and more.
