Frederic Rich

Frederic RichFrederic is a polymath, who studied politics and policy at Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School and pursued graduate work in moral philosophy as a Keasbey Scholar at King’s College, Cambridge. Although practicing as an international lawyer for the past 30 years, his works over that time include the music and libretto for the world’s first environmental oratorio, a classroom chart of American history (published by the Daily Telegraph in the UK), and articles on subjects as diverse as the Olympic Games and garden history. Rich was named one of the American Lawyer’s “Dealmakers of the Year” in 2011. Among other charitable pursuits, he serves as the Chairman of the Foundation for Landscape Studies, Vice Chair of the Battery Conservancy in Manhattan, Chair of the Scenic Hudson Land Trust, a Director of the national Land Trust Alliance, and head of the NY State Environmental Leaders Group.

Rich splits his time between Manhattan and New York’s Hudson Valley. He is working on a non-fiction book about environmental politics, and several other novels.
